The first hour matters most. Money reported quickly can often be put on hold before it is withdrawn.

Then, in your bank app and phone

  • Block your card or UPI in your bank app
  • Note the transaction reference (UTR) of every transfer
  • Take screenshots. Do not delete the chat.
  • File a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in
